M.W. Bro. Richard S.G. Ensor

On Thursday, 5 June 2025, M.W. Bro. Richard S.G. Ensor was formally installed as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ireland. The ceremony took place at Freemasons’ Hall, 17 Molesworth Street, Dublin, in the presence of distinguished brethren from across Ireland and beyond.

M.W. Bro. Ensor succeeds the late M.W. Bro. Rodney L. McCurley, whose untimely passing in February 2025 was deeply felt throughout the Masonic community.

An experienced and respected Freemason, M.W. Bro. Ensor had previously served as Deputy Grand Master and now takes the helm during a momentous year for Irish Freemasonry. In 2025, the Grand Lodge of Ireland celebrates its Tercentenary – marking 300 years of continuous existence since its founding in 1725.

The anniversary is being commemorated by lodges across the island and internationally, celebrating the rich heritage and enduring values of the Craft.

In his remarks, M.W. Bro. Ensor reaffirmed his commitment to those values, while encouraging the fraternity to meet the future with confidence, unity, and purpose.

The Brethren of Craigantlet Lodge of Friendship No. 486 extend their sincere congratulations to M.W. Bro. Richard S.G. Ensor and wish him every success as Grand Master of Ireland.
