On Saturday 22 November 2025, Craigantlet Masonic Lodge of Friendship No. 486 once again filled Galwally House, Belfast with fun, nostalgia, and friendly competition as the Lodge hosted its second annual charity bingo night.
This year’s event included a special one-off round of 1990s Music Bingo, adding a lively twist to the traditional format and proving a great success with all in attendance.
The evening began with conventional bingo, expertly called by our man the Lodge Treasurer, VW Bro Terence Luney. Renowned for his skill with numbers, Terence brought his usual calm and precise delivery to the role, helping to build excitement with every number announced.

Later in the night, the dabbers were set aside and the lights dimmed for the 90s Music Bingo round, conducted by none other than “The Secretary of Sound” – the Lodge Secretary; W. Bro. Matthew G Robson. To set the mood, glow sticks were handed out, giving the room a vibrant 1990s party atmosphere. With a playlist packed full of boybands, Britpop anthems, and dancefloor classics, the crowd quickly joined in—guessing songs, singing along, and enthusiastically waving their glow sticks.

A huge vote of thanks is extended to W. Bro Stephen Boyce, the Lodge’s dedicated Steward of Charities, and his wife Margaret, for organising yet another superb event. Their hard work and planning ensure that the charity bingo night has already become a highlight of the Lodge’s social calendar.
After a light supper, the evening continued with a ballot draw, featuring a fantastic range of prizes and generating plenty of excitement among the 70 attendees.
Thanks to the generosity and good spirits of everyone present, we are delighted to announce that the event raised just over £1,000 for Angel Eyes NI and for other local and Masonic charities supported by the Lodge.
Craigantlet Lodge of Friendship No. 486 extends its heartfelt thanks to all who attended, donated, or helped make the evening such a success. Our charities were the true beneficiaries of the night—although more than a few secret 90s music experts also revealed themselves!
